    Articles of Agreement Parties: (i) Sir John Keeling, Lord Chief Justice of King’s Bench; (ii) John Barton of Middle Temple, London, esquire; (iii) Francis Barton of Middle Temple, eldest son of (ii); Ursula Boteler, daughter of Oliver Boteler of Harrold, esquire, deceased and now daughter-in-law of (i) Reciting: - intended marriage between Francis Barton and Ursula Boteler; - (i) had undertaken to pay £2,000 as marriage portion of Ursula Boteler in satisfaction of the portion bequeathed in her father’s will and legacies bequeathed in the will of William Neston, gentleman, her late grandfather; (ii) had undertaken to pay £2,000 and the sum of £4,000 was to be used in buying land to be settled on (iii) together Operative Part: - (i) covenanted to pay £,2000 to (ii) together with interest at 6% - (ii) covenanted with (i) to lay out £4,000 in buying land to be settled on (iii) meanwhile paying interest at 6% to (iii); - it was agreed that the purchased land would be settled on Francis Barton for his life, remainder to Ursula Barton rermainder to their children Witnesses: - Robert Hyde; - Robert Thornton; - Francis Scranton; - William Ellis
