    i) James Bennett, Goldington, carpenter ii) Henry Elsom, formerly of Cople, servant, but now of Godmanchester, Huntingdonshire, yeoman £100 is still owing on mortgage of 24 April 1837 [SL1/266] ii) has agreed to lend i) a further £25, upon having repayment of it secured and repayment of said £100 further secured now i) conveys to ii) - 7 cottages, etc. erected by i) on a piece of ground in Goldington, 5 whereof have been sometime built and were formerly occupied by i), Thomas Houghton, John Haines, Joseph Joyce and John King and now of i), widow Houghton, Henry Day, George Emery and said John King. Other cottages have been recently built and are occupied by Joseph Gaunt and John Bennett N. late Joseph Barker, now James Flood S. Bedford – St.Neots turnpike road W. Samuel Reynolds E. Thomas Hull, being property sold by i) to him, being 2 cottages and ground formerly in occupation of Samuel Denton and Philip Harpur interest – 5% per annum buildings to be insured covenants to produce title deeds signature i) endorsed receipt witness Thomas Row, clerk to Mr.Turnley, solicitor, Bedford
