    i) Daniel Richardson, late of Christ Church, Spitalfields, corn chandler, now of Towcester, Northamptonshire, gentleman ii) Job Orton, London, tallow chandler iii) Penelope Phipps, Littleborough, Northamptonshire, widow iv) Henry Simcoe, Towcester, baker William Cleaver, Caswell, Queen’s Norton, Northamptonshire, yeoman whereas : marriage is intended between i) and iii), to make jointure for iii) i) and ii) (at request of i)) releases to iv) - cottage in Goldington, formerly in occupation of John Whitebread, now of William Banks - 7 closes (14 acres) pasture - 29 acres arable in Goldington common field, once in occupation of John Whitebread, now of William Banks - cottage once in occupation of – Millar, now of William Banks - 3 acres arable in several fields in Goldington, once in occupation of Richard Bass, now of William Banks All in Goldington, purchased by Thomas Kinlyside from Edward Tomlinson and Richard Coume(?), John Henderson and John Hardy, (assignees of estate of Joseph Tomlinson, bankrupt, and in trust for i) and afterwards conveyed to i) and ii) (trustee for i)) and heirs etc. Usual provisions iii) also conveys to iv) - all the ready monies in her possession and benefits from the real estate of her late husband, John Phipps, deceased, in trust until the marriage and then in special trust in confidence in iv) as iii) shall decide if she was sole Signatures i), iii) endorsed witnesses Thomas Wright William Francis 30 May 1778 With note attached as to burial of Mary, daughter of Daniel and Penelope Richardson on 2 June 1779.
