- Scope and Contenti) John Harvey, Ickwell Bury, Northill, esquire (only son and heir and also universal devisee in fee named in last will and testament of John Harvey, late of Ickwell Bury, deceased) ii) William Gibbard, Sharnbrook, esquire Susannah Gibbard, spinster (now of the age of 20 years or upwards) youngest daughter of said William Gibbard iii) Edmund Harvey, Willian, Hertfordshire, clerk Thomas Gadsby, Bedford, clerk iv) Honourable Samuel Henley Ongley, Old Warden Richard Williams, Clopton, Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, esquire v) Sir Montagu Burgoyne, Sutton, baronet John Gibbard, St.John’s College, Cambridge whereas: a marriage has been agreed between i) and Susannah Gibbard (with consent of William Gibbard) : Susannah, when 21 will be entitled to considerable real and personal estate : upon solemnization of said marriage it is agreed that i) shall become entitled in his own right to all the estate of which Susannah will be seized when 21 : William Gibbard, upon such marriage will give to i) £500 as augmentation of Susannah’ fortune : in consideration of the premise i) will make such settlement on Susannah, and issue of said marriage as is hereinafter mentioned but subject to power of revocation in case Susannah dies under age of 21 now i) releases to iii) - manor of Ickwell Bury - Ickwell Fair with all tolls - mansion house called Ickwell Bury wherein i) now dwells, in Northill, etc. - land belonging in Northill (59 acres 1 rood 3 perches) - College Wood, Home wood, Morris’s Grove, Budna Pightle Grove and Horse Close Spinney, in Northill, in possession of i) (51 acres 33 perches) with the soil and timber etc. - farmhouse at Ickwell, in occupation of George Inskipp - land belonging in Northill (335 acres 3 roods 12 perches) in tenure said George - farmhouse with appurtenances in Northill - land belonging ( 294 acres 2 roods 18 perches) late in occupation of Edward Tingey and now of Samuel Sandon - farmhouse at Upper Caldecot, Northill now in occupation of Thomas Woodward - land belonging (117 acres 2 roods 37 perches) - 2 closes arable in Northill (32 acres 3 roods 9 perches) in occupation of William Burton - cottages and lands at Ickwell Green --- 1 cottage in occupation of Richard Kent --- 1 cottage in occupation of John Hill --- 1 cottage in occupation of Joseph Watson --- 1 cottage in occupation of Richard Brunt --- 1 cottage in occupation of – Hill, widow --- 1 cottage in occupation of William Ingram --- 1 cottage in occupation of George Woodward --- 2 cottages with close of pasture etc. adjoining (2 acres 9 perches) in occupation of Charles Purser, Thomas Huckle, William Francis and i) --- 1 cottage with close of pasture (1 acre 1 rood 32 perches) in occupation of Richard Hawkins - cottage or blacksmith’s shop, late in occupation of Edward Aspitall, deceased, and now of Thomas Burnage - cottage, close of pasture and appurtenances (2 acres 1 rood 21 perches) in occupation of Edward Levitt - cottage, close of pasture and appurtenances (3 roods 30 perches) in occupations of Thomas Yoxon and Reverend Jonathan Marham - manor of Hartishorne alias Blundells with rights etc. - manor house in Over Caldecott formerly in occupation of Edward Tingey, afterwards in occupation of George Inskipp, since of – Harris, deceased, and now of – Harris, his widow - Home Close lying near manor house (5 acres) - 2 closes of arable adjoining (8 acres) in Over Caldecott now also in occupation of – Harris, his undertenants or assigns - Brook End Farm, Bolnhurst (158 acres) now in occupation of George Martin - all and every other hereditaments etc. of i) in Bedfordshire subject to certain charges created in favour of Sarah Harvey, widow of John Harvey, and Sarah his daughter by his will to iii) in trust with provisions for the children of the marriage power given to sell or dispose of any property during lifetime of i) whereas: Susannah will at 21 become seized of ½ part in divers freehold lands under will of John Mears, her late grandfather, deceased, and to one ½ part of certain money now invested in public stocks subject to payments to said William Gibbard for his life and £50 per annum to Mary Mears, widow of said John Mears, for life, and subject to other annual sums, now Susannah with consent of father, agrees that if said marriage takes place and she lives to attain 21, she will as soon as possible after she attains that age, will assign to i) for his use - all lands etc. and stocks to which she shall become entitled under will of said John Mears William Gibbard agrees with i) that he will, immediately solemnisation of said marriage pay to i) £500 for his own use. no signatures no witnesses
