    i) Reverend Edward Lindsell, Broom, Southill, clerk ii) Robert Lindsell, Biggleswade, esquire iii) John Rogers, Bromham, farmer whereas: i) is seised of hereditaments described in schedule, in right of his wife : i) has obtained from “the Norwich Union Insurance Society” 2 policies of assurance numbered 21,282 and 21,283 dated 11 November 1839, for £999 and £2000 – total £2999, to be paid within 3 months of his death. Annual premiums - £39 15s and £79.10s : iii) has agreed to lend i) £3000 at 5% per annum interest on security of a mortgage of said property and of said assurance policies : for greater satisfaction of iii), i) has requested ii) to join with him as his surety now, i) demises to iii) for 99 years - property as in schedule - lands in Southill also i) assigns to iii) - said policies of assurance and sums of money when they become payable provisions for keeping up payments on policies in case of default premises to be insured in names of i) and iii) for £2000 or more provisions for leasing or sale of premises if default made. Schedule - capital messuage of mansion house in Broom etc. in occupation of John Barber, esquire, since deceased and now of i) (35 acres) - farmyard, homestall etc. (2 acres 1 rood) - cottages adjoining said farmyard in occupations of James Read and – Colledge - pieces ground awarded to John Barber, esquire, deceased, on enclosure of Southill (John Barber being father of Elizabeth Lindsell, wife of i) --- 1 piece ground ( 103. 0. 34) in Hedge Field, Broom --- " " ( 28. 1. 33) " " --- " " ( 45. 2. 29) " " --- " " ( 5. 3. 10) " " --- " " (145. 0. 29) " " and adjoining meadow -- " " ( 3. 2. 2) on the Green, Broom --- " " ( 0. 1. 34) " " which said pieces were formerly in occupation of Edward Lindsell and now divided into closes hereinafter mentioned, exclusive of site of said mansion and paddock and ground now divided into 14 closes i.e 40 acres, 16 acres, 36 acres, 20 acres, 20 acres, 19 acres 2 roods, 14 acres, 24 acres, 26 acres, 32 acres, 30 acres, 12 acres, 30 acres, 7 acres, 4 acres, 11 acres 2 roods (plantation) signatures i), ii) endorsed receipt witness Theed Perse, junior 20 Dec 1839 also endorsed with Transfer of mortgage i) John Rogers ii) Edward Lindsell Robert Lindsell iii) Reverend John Paley, Hook, Yorkshire, clerk Charles Barnett, Stratton Park, esquire Frederick Hogg, Girtford, esquire whereas: mortgage debt of £3000 is still owing, all interest etc. having been paid : iii) have agreed to pay £3000 to i) on having security transferred to them : iii) in consideration of a certain collateral security for payment of said monies in indenture of even date, it is agreed that Robert Lindsell be exonerated from all future liability in respect of covenants in deed now, in consideration of £3000 i) assigns to iii) - said sum of £3000 secured as before - property as before - 2 assurance policies as before signatures i) and Edward Lindsell receipt witness L.O.Wade 15 July 1846
