    Appointment and conveyance i) Honourable and Reverend Lord John Thynne Francis John Thynne, Haynes Park, esquire, eldest son of said Lord John Thynne ii) Lord Ongley whereas: by indenture of 28 September 1671 between 1) Francis, Lord Hawley, Baron of Laughton, Sir Charles Harbord, knight, Sir John Talbot, knight, Sir Robert Stewart, knight, and William Harbord, esquire 2) Daniel Brevint, D.D., prebend of Durham Cathedral, reciting letters patent of Charles II of 11 November 1670 in which he granted to 1) (inter alia) a fee farm rent of £12.14s out of demesne land of Biggleswade Manor, late payable to John Busse and others in trust for His Majesty until sale thereof made. Further trust made that 1) should convey same to such persons etc. to whom by Lord Treasurer they should be directed to do so. : 2) had contracted for purchase of said fee farm rent and had permission etc. of Lord Treasurer : 1) in pursuance of said order and also of Act of Parliament entitled “An Act for advancing the sale of fee farm rents” and money paid at Exchequer, sold fee farm rent to 2) : i) has now become entitled to said fee farm rent : by indenture of 25 June 1864 between a) Lord John Thynne b) Francis John Thynne c)Eustace John Wilson Patten and John Charles Thynne, esquire. a) conveyed to c) (inter alia) said rent upon such trusts as a) and b) should appoint. In default to use of a) for life with remainder to use of wife Lady John Thynne, with remainder to b) : i) have agreed with ii) for absolute sale of several apportioned rents of 14s 8d and 4s. (total 18s 8d) – being part of said rent of £12.14s – for £23 6s 8d now, in consideration of £23 6s 8d, i) conveys to ii) - rents of 14s 8d and 4s payable in respect of land formerly of Sir Robert Monoux and Mrs Adams and now of ii) and out of some other part of his lands in Biggleswade i) covenants to produce title deeds Schedule Indenture of 28 September 1671 Deed poll of 12 December 1674 Indenture of 28 August 1801 Indenture of 25 June 1864 signature i) endorsed receipt witnesses W.Patten (?)
