    i) Robert Henley, Lord Ongley ii) John Harvey Astell, Vigo Street, Middlesex, esquire Charles Barnett, Stratton Park, esquire iii) John Harvey, Ickwell Bury, esquire whereas: by settlement previous to marriage of iii) and Anne Jane Tennant, spinster made on 11 Feb 1842 property was conveyed to ii) to use of iii) i) and ii) at request of iii) have mutually agreed upon an exchange now i) releases to ii) to uses as in above settlement - piece arable (11 acres 3 roods 16 perches) – part of Ickwell Field, - greater part being in Northill and smaller portion at S. or S.W. corner in Warden N.and E. John Harvey S. road from Warden to Biggleswade small part W. field called Sheep Walk – Lord Ongley remainder part W. narrow slip of land – Lord Ongley – being remainder part of Ickwell Field, which field consists mainly of an allotment awarded to Lord Torrington at the enclosure and partly of old enclosure belonging to said Lord Torrington. Whole later became property of Samuel Whitbread, deceased and was given by him in exchange to Lord Ongley, deceased, father of i) - piece of land being long strip running E. and W. consisting of a spring and hedgerow (2 roods 16 perches) in Old Warden S. Hill Lane all other sides land of said John Harvey, formerly part of fields of Lord Ongley but was separated from it by alteration of line of said lane which 2 pieces land are now in occupation of John Harvey and shown on plan [attached] i) makes indemnity against all charges and former grants and covenants to produce title deeds etc. ii) grants to i) in exchange - piece arable (10 acres 2 roods 19 perches) called Top Lady Field in Northill most N. land next described small part N. John Harvey E. slip land belonging to i) being part of Ickwell Field S. Sheep Walk W. i) - slip arable (1 acre 3 roods 13 perches) being part of Middle Lady Field, Northill N. and part E. other parts of same field S. and remainder parts E. field lastly granted W. i) which 2 pieces ground were late in occupation of – Foster and shown on plan covenants that no buildings will be erected on exchanged ground without written consent of other party signatures all witnesses Robert Lindsell George Newbery A.M.Besgood 10 August 1851 certified true copy, 9 February 1872
