  • Scope and Content
Dear Sir Herbert, Thank you for your letter of the 24th April. We are sorry to learn of the difficulty you had in India and Iran, and we feel that this was due to not obtaining a Burmese visa before your departure. Although we may not have mentioned previously before your departure, we did actually apply for a Burmese visa for you in London, and the reply from the Embassy was that you would not need one as you would be merely regarded as being in transit. We accepted this information in good faith, and you may recall that we sent the application forms back to you for taking with you just in case they were needed on your arrival. We hope this will be an acceptable explanation. Yours faithfully, THOS. COOK & SON LTD W.H. BOON. Post Order Department
