    i) Samuel Wells, Biggleswade, brewer John Foster, Biggleswade, merchant (executors and devisees in trust named in will of George Cooper, late of Biggleswade, miller and mealman, deceased) i) Lord Ongley whereas: said George Cooper made his will dated 4 Aug 1806 and devised to i) all his freehold messuages etc. situated in Bedfordshire and elsewhere in trust for sale, the monies arising to be used upon trusts mentioned in will. : George Cooper died soon after making his will and it was proved in P.C.C. [date not given] : i) on 8 Oct 1806 caused a piece of land (7 acres) in Biggleswade called Gore and Smith’s Meadow to be sold in auction in two lots subjects to yearly payment of a certain fee farm rent of 19s 6½d chargeable on whole said meadow land or ground to be apportioned between purchasers of said ground in proportion to sums each lot should sell for but free from land tax which had been redeemed : ii) became purchaser of ground hereinafter described being larger of 2 lots and numbered Lot 2, for £400 exclusive of timber trees of value of 2s.6d. which were to be valued and paid for separately and have since been valued at £2.7s.6d, and a proportion of said fee farm rent being 14s. 8d. per annum i) releases to ii) for consideration of £402.7s.6d. - piece of meadow (5 acres 2 roods) in Biggleswade near the Mills there, part of Gore and Smith’s Meadow and purchased by George Cooper of William Harris E. private road N. meadow land of ii) which said meadow called Gore and Smith’s Meadow was formerly occupied by John Brown and Michael Woodward, surgeon, and late of said George Cooper. whereas: said Samuel Wells is interested in premises for remainder of term of 2000 years commencing 10 Feb 1761 as in indenture of 11 Feb 1761, in trust for the heirs of George Cooper and to attend inheritance of said premises, it is agreed that Samuel Wells shall be interested in said close for remainder of term of 2000 years, in trust for ii) signed i) witnesses Isaac Hindley J.H.Robinson
