    Conveyance under the Land Tax Redemption Acts i) Reverend John Smyth, clerk, vicar of Southill with Old Warden ii) Right Honourable William Lord Auckland Right Honourable Sylvester, Lord Glenverbee (Glenbervie) 2 of the Commissioners appointed for confirming sales made for the purposes of redeeming land tax upon land held by the companies iii) Lord Ongley whereas; i) under powers given in Act of 42 George III to enable companies etc. to sell lands to redeem land tax, has agreed to sell to iii) lands hereinafter described being part of estates which i) is entitled to in right of said vicarage, for £470 and ii) have agreed to confirm this. In consideration of £5 paid by iii) to i) to discharge his costs in attending sales made by i) and in consideration of £ 735 paid into the Bank of England to account for the reduction of the National Debt i) sells to iii) with confirmation of ii) - close arable called Church Close with lane at W. end of same - close of pasture and woodland called Quince Hill - part of close of arable adjoining total 18 acres 2 roods 34 perches in Old Warden in occupation of William Skileter E. or N.E. lane leading to farms in occupation of Ambrose Bone and Ann Inskip S. or S.E. and S. Lord Ongley Warden churchyard private road and other land belonging to said vicarage N. or N.W. John Fish Palmer, esquire Signatures i) , ii) 14 Mar 1804 With note that the execution of the deed was acknowledged at Biggleswade by i) on 14 March 1804 before H.O.Roe, a Master Extraordinary in Chancery endorsed: witnesses receipt enroled in Chancery 14 April 1804
