citing: (i) began action versus John Huggins,esquire, Robert Westby, esquire (ii) and Thomas Betham esquire Hilary Term 1739 for debt of £3000 for oil sold.
The case was heard at the Guildhall 12 July, 1740 verdict for (i), £1,832 damages versus defendants as the ‘proprietors or partners of or in the Conic Lamps.’
(ii) has paid £300 towards the recovery and costs, (i) agrees not to levy the remainder of the debt.
