    libel: defendant has not paid Easter offering, tithe of eggs, or burial dues. deposition ex parte complainant: William Harper of Potton, yeoman, aged 40, has lived in Potton from birth; remembers vicars having tithe for 24 years; Oxford has lived in Potton with wife & family the last 2 years; married couples should pay 4d to vicar for Easter offering; Oxford has a dovehouse, & 2 milch kine; and a child of his was buried in Potton; he believes that those who keep poultry give at Easter 3 eggs for a cock & 2 for a hen. Deponent paid 6s.8d. for his father's burial. Richard Purratt of Potton, gent., 60, has lived there 12 years; paid 6s.8d. when wife buried.
