churchwardens (William Costen, Thomas Atterton) v. James.Beverley, gent. (proxy Barker); materia excepta: defendant:- William Beverley leased mill to Laurence Lacie of Clophill, 1599 - 1604; Lacie's widow assigned unexpired term to William Goodman of Barford; subsequently mill has been occupied by John Sparrow of Eaton Socon & Humphrey. Grendy. William Beverley died, & churchwardens allege that James Beverley leased to Sparrow in 1603 for 3 years.
