    Reciting release of 14 January 1843 [Z450/4] concerning Wolfe’s Close and the property fourthly described Said property was, by mistake, treated as freehold but with exception of Wolfe’s Close (3 acres 3 roods) all others were discovered to be copyhold Reciting mortgage of 19 November 1845 between William Harbett and Edwin Latham Brickwood. Wolfe’s Close was (with other property) mortgaged to said Edwin Latham Brickwood to secure repayment of £560 and interest Reciting also mortgage of 12 May 1846 [Z450/7] Reciting re-conveyance of 30 June 1846 to William Harbett from Edwin Latham Brickwood Reciting also will of William Harbett by which he devised the residue of his real estate (which included Wolfe’s Close) to Alice, wife of William Hunt. Rebecca Teedon, who had a life estate in said Close, died on 30 November 1847 Reciting deed of 24 July 1850 [ Z450/20] by which Wolfe’s Close was, with others, conveyed to Thomas Wright Richards by endorsement of 17 August 1850 being an assignment of the unpaid mortgage debt of £1800 to said Thomas Wright Richard On 26 March last said Thomas Wright Richards and Nathaniel Grace Lambert and wife, Mary Ann, being the only persons in whom is now vested all the legal estate, put Wolfe’s Close up for auction, at which sale Walter Osborn was declared to be the highest bidder, for £1072 (which included some copyhold property) and extra for the timber. It is agreed that the purchase shall be divided so that £250 is consideration money for freehold property and residue for copyhold property NOW in consideration of £250 paid to Thomas Wright Richards by Walter Osborn and five shillings apiece to Nathaniel Grace Lambert and wife, Mary Ann, Thomas Wright Richards and Nathaniel Grace Lambert and wife, Mary Ann convey to Walter Osborn -- Wolfe’s Close (3 acres 3roods) formerly in the occupation of John Fowler, then William Harbett (and purchased by William Harbett, senior, on 4 and 5 December 1818). John Maddams to be trustee for Walter Osborn if required with memorandum of acknowledgment by Mary Ann Lambert
