Bequests to wife, Mercy Exton to be in lieu of dower. Wife is to release her dower to sons and daughters if required. ….To son, William Exton at 21 – Messuage in Ampthill in occupation ‘my mother Ruth Brown’ and now unoccupied. –Messuages in Ampthill in occupation George Odell; Thomas Wheeler; William Fields; Thomas Bushby; Richard Evans and John Fields ‘all which I purchased of John Ransom’ –Closes land in Maggots Moor, Ampthill, in occupation John Patch; William Morris and William Poulton (17 acres) – Messuages, lands in Maulden in occupation Samuel Richardson and Northwood. -2 farms in Marston Moretaine (except 2 tenements in occupation – Gillet and –Brandom which are to be sold and money added to personal estate), now in occupation John Faldor and John Shade. If William die under 21 then said property to son, George Exton, and daughter Mary Albright Exton as tenants in common. John Grant, Peter Basset and wife Mercy Exton appointed executors and executrix.
