…….To daughter, Elizabeth Brown, and her lawful heirs
- Messuages, lands etc in Flitwick, in occupation Edward Farey -Messuages, lands etc in Ampthill in occupation William Poulton, Dr Taylor, the workhouse man, Daniel Mann, Thomas Smith, William Carter, Thomas Bushby and Henry Cooper.
-Messuages, lands etc in Maulden in occupation James Porter – Messuage or close land adjoining in Ampthill and now in my occupation. If Elizabeth dies without issue, then property devised to daughter, Ann Brown and her heirs. Said estates charged with following annuities:
…To dear wife, Ruth Brown – Annuity of £50
…To sister, Elizabeth Walduck – Annuity of £6
…To brother, Joseph Brown – Annuity of £6
…To daughter Ann Brown – Messuages, lands etc in Ampthill and Maulden in occupation James Humphrey – Messuages, lands etc in Marston Moretaine and Houghton Conquest. – Messuage, lands etc in Ampthill in occupation Richard Boughton and John Paddon. – Messuage, lands etc in Ampthill in occupation George Exton. If Ann dies without heirs, then property devised to daughter, Elizabeth Brown, and heirs. Said estates to be charged with following annuities:

…To brother, Joseph Brown – Annuity of £6.
If said daughters have lawful issue, then may dispose of such estates among such issue as they think fit to devise by will.
If both daughters die without issue then devises property as follows:
….To George Exton – Premises wherein he dwells in Ampthill
…..To nephew, John Brown (son of Joseph Brown) – Remainder of property in Ampthill
….To nephew, Daniel Brown of Luton – Property at Flitwick
….To nephew, William Brown (son of brother John Brown) – Property at Marston Moretaine
….To nephew, Joseph Brown (son of brother Joseph Brown) – Property at Houghton Conquest.
….To nephew, Richard Brown (son of brother Joseph Brown) – Property at Maulden
….To nephew, William Brown (son of John Brown) - £50
….To brother, Joseph Brown - £50 and all wearing apparel
….To dear wife, Ruth - £100
….To nephew Richard Brown (crossed through) son of Joseph Brown - £50
….To said wife – Household goods and furniture
….To daughters Elizabeth and Ann Brown – Residue of real and personal estate
Said wife, 2 daughters and brother joint executrixes and executor.
Will dated 12 Feb 1778. With codicil. Devise to daughter Ann Brown of house wherein he dwelt in Bedford Street, Ampthill revoked and said house devised to George Exton. House where he now dwells in Ampthill devised to wife for life.
Estate at Steppingley, lately purchased from estate of late Cuthbert Sheldon, deceased, in occupation widow Mary Scott, devised to 2 daughters, Elizabeth and Ann Brown as tenants in common. Codicil dated 18 Jan 1780.
