- Scope and Content--- gatehouse, ground and chamber over the gate house, with 3 posts and 'grunsills' that the chamber stands on, with both the great gates hanging on two of the posts, and the ground from the gatehouse up to the pale and land of George King, and little plot of ground next the house of George King, between the pale and ground of George King and of Francis Hawes, occupied by William Wrattinge, and the other piece of ground is between the yard of Francis Hawes occupied by William Wrattinge and the messuage and ground of Robert Winche to be conveyed to him from Richard Crawley (conveyence of even date), the gatehouse and chamber over is between the messuage of Francis Hawes occupied by William Wrattinge and the messuage to be conveyed, and abuts on the highway from Luton Market place towards the horse pool, a fence to be made between the yard to be conveyed to Robert Wynche at cost of (ii), and fence to be made to the upper end of the yard of Francis Hawes occupied by William Wrattinge at cost of (ii) Witnesses: (Livery of Seisin) Francis Olney, scrivener, Robert Browne, Patrrick Dudgeon. 2 seals, conv.
