J. A. R. Oliver was born on 25th November 1918 at Whitwell [Hertfordshire] and died on 24th February 1992 at Luton. He played for Luton and Bedfordshire (1936-1961) and in one first-class match - for Minor Counties v. Kent in 1951 when he made 84 not out and 9. he batted right handed and bowled right arm fast-medium and off-breaks
