    Declaration of Timothy Keech of Stevington, carrier, aged 63: - he knew Richard Page of Stevington, blacksmith, deceased having lived with him for some years; - Richard Page possessed a cottage with a garden at the back in Church Street formerly in the occupation of Richard Smart, then William Aspley, then Thomas Simpson, now William Barton; - on Richard Page’s death and that of Lydia, his wife, the cottage passed to their eldest son Thomas who held it until his death; - he had attended Stevington Manor Court as one of the homage and was now crier and declared that the cottage has always been considered copyhold of the manor Timothy Keech signed by mark before Ezra Eagles, solicitor.
