    Abstract of Title of George and Arthur James Keeble to freehold hereditaments in Cople (I) Conveyance Parties: (i) Herbrand Arthur Russell, 11th Duke of Bedford; (ii) William Edward Sackville West of Basil Mansions, Belgravia [London], late Colonel in the Grenadier Guards; Cosmo Romilly of 88 Saint James Street [London], esquire; (iii) George Keeble and Arthur James Keebls of Peterborough [Northamptonshire], merchants Reciting: - (i) was tenant for life under documents in Schedule 2 which were part of Bedford Settled Estates under the will of Francis Russell, 7th Duke of Bedford of which (ii) were trustees; - no estates, interests or charges affected (a); - (i), under powers obtained from the Settled Land Acts 1882 and 1890 had agreed to sell (a) to (iii) for £78,000; - (iii) had agreed to sell part of the estate to William Henry Rogers for £4,500 which was done by a conveyance of even date with the abstracted conveyance; - (iii) were to retain documents in Schedule 3 Operative Part: - (i) conveyed (a) to (iii) for £73,500 paid to (ii) Property: (a) The Manor of Cople with all farms, lands, and hereditaments in Cople Schedule 1 The land specifically abstracted: - smallholding in Cople being Ordnance Survey No. 118 – two cottages and gardens comprising 1 rood, 29 poles; - smallholding in Cople being land of two acres, two roods, twenty eight poles Schedule 2 - will of Francis, 7th Duke of Bedford of 7 May 1861; - death of Francis, 7th Duke of Bedford on 14 May 1861; - will of Francis, 7th Duke of Bedford proved in PPR on 31 July 1861; - grant and release of farm rents at Willington and Cople from (i) Rev. John Thynne to (ii) Thomas, Baron Foley, Charles Romilly and George Russell on 14 September 1863; - death of Thomas Henry, Baron Foley on 20 November 1869; - death of William, 8th Duke of Bedford on 26th May 1872; - replacement of trustee by (i) Francis Charles Hastings, 9th Duke of Bedford and (ii) Charles Romilly and (iii) George Russell (the retiring trustee), the new trustee being (iv) Samuel Whitbread on 9 October 1874; - replacement of trustees by (i) Francis Charles Hastings, 9th Duke of Bedford and (ii) Charles Romilly and Samuel Whitbread (retiring trustees), the new trustees being (iii) William Edward Sackville West and Lord Sackville Arthur Cecil on 31 January 1883; - death of Francis Charles Hastings, 9th Duke of Bedford on 14 January 1891, his son George William Francis Sackville Russell becoming 10th Duke; - death of George William Francis Sackville, 10th Duke of Bedford on 23 March 1893 being succeeded by his brother Herbrand Arthur as 11th Duke; - replacement of trustee by (i) Herbrand Arthur, 11th Duke of Bedford and (ii) William Edward Sackville west and (iii) Lord Sackville Arthur Cecil (retiring trustee), the new trustee being (iv) Cosmo Romilly Schedule 3 - The documents of 14 September 1863; 9 October 1874; 31 January 1883 and 20 April 1894
