(ii) Charlton Palmer of Philpot Lane, gentleman, John Anderson of Philpot Lane, merchant, two other executors of the aforesaid will (iii) Dame Jane Riddell late of Hampstead, Middlesex now of Sundon, Bedfordshire widow (who was one of the children of Jane Buchanan late of Hampstead widow and sole executrix named in the will of James Buchanan late of London, merchant, deceased daughter of Robert Crichton late of Newport Pagnall, Buckinghamshire deceased) also mother and next of kin of Sir Walter Riddell of Hampstead, baronet deceased (iv) Thomas Riddell of Besborough in Berwickshire. recites: V454; V457-461; V464 and its recitals; V465-6. whereas: principal of £4,000 secured by last recited Indentures was not paid. Richard Oswald is lately deceased will dated 8 April 1780 empowered executors to dispose of all his real estates in England. executors: Mary Oswald, Charlton Palmer, John Anderson. Thomas Riddell at request of Dame Jane Riddell has agreed to pay said £4,000 on having transfer thereof subject to repayment by Dame Jane Riddell with interest, at 4½% Dame Jane Riddell has paid interest on said £4,000 to date of presents. Dame Jane Riddell bound to Thomas Riddell by bond of same date as presents, in £8,000 now: consideration: £4,000 paid to Mary Oswald at appointment of Charlton Palmer and John Anderson at request of Dame Jane Riddell -- premises as in V466 repayment: Dame Jane Riddell to Thomas Riddell £4,000 plus interest at 4½% on 27 July 1787. Thomas Plummer late of Billiter Square now of Fen Court, London, merchant. Thomas Hallward of Gray’s Inn, Middlesex gentleman whereas: 10 July 1789 administration of Sir Walter Riddell’s goods was granted to Dame Jane Riddell his mother by Prerogative Court of Canterbury by which she became possessed of within named terms of 1,000 and 500 years no assignment made; the said £4,000 plus interest now paid as expressed in above release of 10 August 1792 recites: V473 now: the two terms vested in Dame Jane Riddell as administratix to be transferred to said Thomas Hallward (at request of other parties) in trust for John Silvester, William Cardale, Frederick William Foster and Thomas Plummer, securing payment to them of £2,337.10s.
