    (i) John Godfrey of Flitton, grocer and wife Martha Henry Gwyn of Silsoe, Flitton, carpenter and wife Sarah William Nicholl of St. George’s, Hanover Square Middlesex joiner and wife Katherine Mary Richardson of Hendon, Middlesex spinster John Cole of Hendon, Middlesex butcher and wife Ann James Parles of Flitton, butcher and wife Lydia (which said Martha, Sarah, Mary, Ann and Lydia and Elizabeth Nicholl deceased late wife of said William Nicholl are daughters and coheirs of John Richardson late of Ampthill, deceased) (ii) John Taylor of Biggleswade, grocer. Benjamin Green of Ampthill, draper (iii) William Pryor of Clifton Reynes, Buckinghamshire gentleman recites: Fine and Indenture of Feoffment 27 March 1727 (i) John Godfrey of Silsoe, tallow chandler and wife Martha (ii) John Taylor Benjamin Green reciting: that said John Richardson by will 13 July 1716 bequeathed to his six daughters all his freehold lands in Ampthill and Marston Mortaine to be equally divided. John Godfrey and wife Martha grant to John Taylor and Benjamin Green one-sixth part of said premises in trust to sell the same one-sixth for purposes mentioned in the said Indenture. whereas: messuage and lands hereinafter conveyed are part of the lands etc. conveyed as above; William Pryor has contracted with John Godfrey and wife Martha, Henry Gwyn and wife Sarah, William Nicholl and wife Katherine, Mary Richardson, John Cole and wife Ann, James Parles and wife Lydia for purchase of said messuage and lands for £616 of which £513.6s.8d. shall be paid to Henry Gwyn and wife Sarah, William Nicholl and wife Katherine, Mary Richardson, John Cole and wife Ann, James Parles and wife Lydia and £102.13s.4d. (being one-sixth of purchase money) shall be paid to John Taylor and Benjamin Green now: consideration as above mentioned -- messuage in Upper Shelton in Marston Mortaine -- pightle of pasture 2 acres adjoining -- Asseldens Pightle in Upper Shelton 1 acre 1 rood -- close of pasture in Marston Mortaine 12 acres formerly 3 closes called Dyers Close, Hog Close and Grove Close. -- 2 closes of pasture in Wootton called the Hooes containing together 6 acres -- 5½ acres meadow in Sow Mead otherwise South Mead in Marston Mortaine -- 21 acres arable in Marston Mortaine and Wootton which premises are in the occupation of Thomas Keep.
