    Auction sale catalogue of Leighton Buzzard property to be sold by Messrs. Hart and Son at the Corn Exchange; Henry Pettit, solicitor: Lot 1: freehold houses, being 35,37,39 and 41, South Street, occupied respectively by Thomas Clarke, Henry Hopkins, George Pigott and Wesley Goodman Lot 2: freehold building or garden land in Summer Street, about 838 yards in total, adjoining properties belonging to John Agutter, D. T. Willis, A. E. Dawson and F. Chamberlain Lot 3: two brick built and slated houses, 42 and 44 Hockliffe Street, occupied respectively by Miss Woodman and John Dancer Lot 4: by direction of the executors of the late Thomas Nash, two brick-built and slated houses, 46 and 48 Hockliffe Street, occupied respectively by A. G. Robinson and Mrs Partridge. With the pro-forma conditions of sale completed to the effect that the title to the various lot commences as follows: Lot 1: by indenture of 11 December 1875 between Richard Walker and George Garside Lot 2: by indenture of conveyance of 21 June 1868 between John Odell Agutter and George Garside Lot 3: which was formerly copyhold but has now been enfranchised with the admission of George Garside on the surrender of Elizabeth Fountaine at a Court held of the Manor of Leighton Buzzard on 28 and 29 October 1847 Lot 4: with the will of 4 June 1869 and unproved of the late Thomas Nash, formerly of Great Berkhamstead, who died 1869, and who by his will devised the property to his wife Martha Nash who died 9 January 1900, for her life and after her death directed her executors to sell his estate including the above mentioned lot Memorandum: Leighton Buzzard Co-operative Society are purchasers of Lot One [35,37,39 and 41, South Street] in consideration of £620 paid by them to William and George Garside (as trustees of the wills of the late George Garside deceased and by devolution of the said Thomas Nash), signed and witnessed 22 May 1900.
