    recites: Indenture 13 June 1683. (i) Thomas Arnald, then the elder, of Ampthill, son and heir of Thomas Arnald then late of Ampthill, gentleman deceased Thomas Arnald, junior and William Arnald , sons of said Thomas Arnald senior (ii) said George Goodman, deceased reciting: that William Woolhead late of Marston Mortaine yeoman then deceased and said Thomas Arnald, then deceased by Indenture 25 March 1662 for consideration of £400 mortgaged by demise for 1,000 years. -- messuage or farm with close of pasture 5 acres adjoining in Overshelton in Marston Mortaine -- 2 closes of land and pasture belonging . . . Sexhill Close 8 acres . . . close at Hoo Lanes End 2 acres -- 65 acres land and meadow in Marston and Wooton repayment of £400 plus interest at date long past. repayment not made whereby estate, became absolute in Thomas Arnald the grand-father. also reciting: that Thomas Arnald the grand-father by will bequeathed to said William Arnald his grand-son his right in the said premises; that Henry Woolhead son and heir of said William Woolhead had contracted with said George Goodman for the purchase of the said premises; that said Thomas Arnald the father did forwardly contract with John Pemberton gentleman then deceased [i.e. by 1683] see GA259 that his sons when they came of age should convey the premises to said John Pemberton and for the security of the £400 John Pemberton granted to Thomas Arnald other lands and tenements of his own; said £400 plus interest was paid by said George Goodman to said William Arnald by direction of said Thomas Arnald senior and Thomas Arnald junior and the premises were assigned to George Goodman, who had agreed to pay the heirs of John Pemberton moneys due to him out of the said premises late the said William Woolhead’s, upon the repayment of the principal plus interest to said William Arnald and conveying said William Woolhead’s estate to George Goodman . said Thomas Arnald junior and William Arnald assigned said premises to George Goodman. now: Elizabeth Goodman, in consideration of competent sum paid by Charles Dymoke, has with consent of Richard Chapman and Everard Goodman assigned to Charles Dymoke (nominated by William Pryor) the aforesaid premises, on trust for William Pryor.
