    consideration: £115 -- messuage in Upper Shelton in Marston Mortaine in the occupation of William Clerke -- pightle of pasture in Upper Shelton, Little Whitbreads 1 acre -- pightle of pasture in Upper Shelton, Great Whitbreads 5 acres sometime in the occupation of William Cowley, then Stephen Odell deceased now of said William Clerke between street or lane there from Wroxhill to Upper Shelton on one side and a piece of ground late of William Cowley called Whitbreads Piece in Sexwell Field lying on the other side, abutting on a way at the one end and another way at the other end, both ways leading to Ashbrooke. -- one ditch or ground for a ditch of a yard breadth from the Stane [?] of the hedge of Great Whitbreads aforesaid in length from one end of Great Whitbreads to the other, between the same Whitbreads and the said piece of land called Whitbreads Piece, and liberty for ever at all times to scour the ditch and cast the moulds and scourings on the said piece. . . . . free from encumbrances except one lease made by Stephen Odell and wife Grace to William Clerke of the same premises 27 April 1695 for nine years at £5 per annum.
