    (i) John Eliot of Bartholomew Close, London, gentleman Richard Chester late of Cannon Street London, now of Stoke Newington, Middlesex, skinner Richard Brown of Luton, mealman, (which said Richard Chester and Richard Brown are devisees in trust of the last will of Briggins How late of Woburn, draper, deceased) William Joyce How of town of Northampton gentleman eldest son and heir of said Briggins How. Thomas How of Rochester, Kent, draper Susannah How of Woburn, spinster Richard Camps of Woburn, draper and wife Mercianne William Camps of Budge Row, Cannon Street, London, mustard manufacturer and wife Elizabeth (which William Joyce How; Thomas How; Susannah How; Mercianne Camps and Elizabeth Camps are the only children of said Briggins How deceased) (ii) James Martin of Woburn, innholder (iii) Richard Thomas How of Aspley Guise, gentleman recites: will of Mariabella Briggins (as in V392), V390-2. Briggins How entered into premises comprised in above made will (V394) is since deceased leaving five children (William Joyce How; Thomas How; Susannah How; Mercianne Camps and Elizabeth Camps ) who entered on estates (the trustees did not need to sell the estate) the above listed children and Richard Camps and William Camps have continued in receipt of the profits except concerning a parcel of ground in Aspley Guise planted with fir trees formerly in the occupation of Ralph French, Part of the real estate of Briggins How (not included in mortgage V392) was sold in 1800 to George Odell. whereas: the above listed children and Richard Camps and William Camps contracted with Patrick John Moore for the sale of: -- parcel of land in Aspley Guise planted with fir trees 4 acres 3 roods 32 perches for £500 (is part of said Hill Land comprised in said mortgage V392 29 acres 3 roods 34 perches) conveyed by Lease and Release of 29 and 30 June last (i) John Eliot (ii) Richard Chester Richard Brown (iii) William Joyce How Thomas How Susannah How Richard Camps and wife Mercianne William Camps and wife Elizabeth (iv) Patrick John Moore (v) John Wiffen (covenant to levy fine) whereas: William Joyce How;Thomas How; Susannah How; Richard Camps and wife Mercianne; William Camps and wife Elizabeth conveyed to William Wright by Lease and Release of 29 and 30 June last -- Rye Piece now planted with fir trees -- parcel of pasture and furze 1 acre 2 roods 13 perches adjoining Rye Piece and being part of said piece of Hill Land 29 acres 3roods 35 perches with right of way from the public road leading from Hogstye End across the remainder of said 29 acres 3 roods 34 perches Hill Land now belonging to William Joyce How, Thomas How, Susannah How, Richard Camps and wife Mercianne William Camps and wife Elizabeth and upon the premises so sold to William Wright for £600 whereas: William Joyce How;Thomas How; Susannah How; Richard Camps and wife Mercianne; William Camps and wife Elizabeth have come to an agreement to pay the £1,800 secured by said Mortgage (V392) to said John Eliot, the surviving executor of Mariabella Briggins according to their shares in the real estate of Briggins How deceased, to discharge remaining estates of Briggins How deceased from the mortgage and have agreed to waive the sale of the estates Lands of Briggins How now unsold and discharged from the mortgage to be settled with one-fifth part to each of William Joyce, Thomas and Susannah How, one-fifth to be settled on Richard Camps and wife Mercianne one-fifth to be settled on William Camps and Elizabeth. now: consideration: £1,800 paid by William Joyce How;Thomas How; Susannah How; Richard Camps and wife Mercianne; William Camps and wife Elizabeth to John Eliot; John Eliot convey to (ii) -- messuage in Aspley Guise formerly in the occupation of Samuel Wooding -- Roaster Lane Field -- (b), (c), (d), (f), (g), as in V388 -- Hill Land except parts conveyed to Patrick John Moore and William Wright -- all other hereditaments conveyed in V392 except parts conveyed to George Odell, Patrick John Moore and William Wright. one-fifth part to each etc. as above John Eliot, Richard Chester, Richard Brown and William Joyce How appoint Richard Thomas How as their attorney to take seisin.
