    (i) Reverend William Way of Denham, Buckinghamshire, clerk and wife Elizabeth, Walter Strickland of Cokethorpe, Oxfordshire and wife Frances; which said Elizabeth and Frances are the only issue and coheirs of Maximilian Western late of Cokethorpe, deceased (ii) Richard Orlebar of Brighton, Sussex. (iii) Richard Longuet Orlebar of Brighton, Sussex, eldest son of Richard Orlebar (iv) Jasper Parrott of Dundridge, Devon, and Sophia Parrott, his eldest daughter (v) Charles Ranken of Grays Inn, Middlesex gentleman (vi) John Vickerman of Grays Inn, Middlesex gentleman (vii) Reverend Richard Williams of Northampton, clerk, Reverend John Genest of Bath, Somerset clerk (viii) Henry Paul Seale of Mount Boone, Devon, William Lamb Hockin of Dartmouth, Devon, gentleman (ix) Theophilus Harneis, junior of Thurganby, Lincolnshire, Thomas Harneis of Hawerby, Lincolnshire marriage intended between Richard Longuet Orlebar and Miss Parrott recites: Mortgage in Fee (Lease and Release) 20 and 21 May 1773 (i) Richard Orlebar (since deceased) only son and heir of John Orlebar late of Hinwick. (ii) Maximilian Western of Cokethorpe, Oxfordshire consideration: £3,000 -- manor of Podington -- messuage and farm belonging, late in the occupation of John Pickering at £185 per annum -- messuage and farm late in the occupation of Daniel Brown at £145 per annum -- messuage and farm late in the occupation of Henry Bolton at £134 per annum -- messuage and farm late in the occupation of Sam Sturges at £108 per annum to which Richard Orlebar became entitled as heir of his father or under two settlements made on his father’s marriage with Mary Rolt, spinster one by Indenture of Release of five parts 17 December 1729, other by Indenture of Release of three parts 18 December 1729 by which the hereditaments mortgaged by the now reciting Indenture became entailed on said Richard Orlebar, which entail was barred by Common Recovery Michaelmas Term 1757, the uses whereof were declared by Indenture of Release (tripartite) 8 November 1757 (i) John Orlebar and Richard Orlebar (ii) Henry Barnes (iii) Samuel Marriott to use of Richard Orlebar in fee whereas: Maximilian Western published last will 3 January 1799; does not affect estate and interest vested in him by mortgage aforesaid devised residue to his daughters. He died 7 January 1801, leaving widow Elizabeth and said Elizabeth Way (then Elizabeth LLoyd Wheate, wife of late Francis Sackville Lloyd Wheate since deceased) and Frances Strickland, parties hereto his only children and coheirs and they proved his will in Prerogative Court of Canterbury whereas: Richard Orlebar (i) entitled to premises comprised in said Indenture of Mortgage and also to manor, advowson and hereditaments hereinafter described; made will 14 September 1802, bequeathing to Mrs. Ann Rolfe life annuity of £40 from all his lands etc. at Podington;bequeathed all his lands etc. at Podington to eldest son Richard Orlebar party hereto, to use of Richard Williams and John Abearn Palmer during life of Henry Barnes and to use of first son of Henry Barnes testator made codicil of even date with will which did not alter said devise; is since deceased recites: V322 Marriage Settlement. whereas: Richard Longuet Orlebar is first son of last recited marriage and has attained 21 years. Common Recovery of said premises was suffered Easter Term 1804 whereas: marriage is agreed between Samuel Marriott and Sophia Parrott and it is agreed that the premises herein comprised should be settled on trusts and the sum of £3,000 advanced as aforesaid was paid off with interest on 4 April 1820 to Elizabeth Way and Frances Strickland (with consent of their husbands) but no reconveyance has been made. now: in consideration of £3,000 paid to Elizabeth Way and Frances Strickland by (ii) (i) on appointment of (ii) and (iii) with consent of Sophia Parrott release to (v) premises hereinbefore described, and (ii) and (iii) release to (v) premises hereinafter described: -- manor of Podington -- advowson of Podington -- manor house of Podington known as the Burystead with lands thereto belonging, formerly in the occupation of testator Richard Orlebar, deceased -- messuage and farm with lands formerly in the occupation of John Pickering at £185 per annum -- messuage and farm with lands formerly in the occupation of Daniel Brown and afterwards of -- Lehaire at £155 per annum -- messuage and farm with lands formerly in the occupation of Henry Bolton at £135 per annum -- messuage and farm with lands formerly in the occupation of Sam Sturges at £108 per annum -- messuage and farm with lands formerly in the occupation of John West at £130 per annum afterwards of testator Richard Orlebar -- messuage formerly in the occupations of Thomas Draper, Thomas Goosey, -- Baker, John Miller, Thomas Isley, John Reynolds, Reverend Mr. Cooper, John Wilkins and others. -- messuage called Randshouse with garden and appurtenances -- Yelnowe Wood 80 acres -- 2 woods, the Great Hayes and Little Hayes, containing 25 acres -- farmhouse in Hinwick in Podington, sometime in the occupation of Richard Thurland, deceased, afterwards of Richard Thurland his son. -- close of pasture, Great Wellsick -- close of pasture, Wellsick Corner Close, formerly purchased by said testator Richard Orlebar deceased of John Alston and Sir Thomas Alston -- close of pasture, Orchard close. last three closes since enclosed together and containing 6 acres -- several parcels arable, ley and mowing ground with heydons belonging, 120 acres in Hinwick and Podington, sometime in the occupation of Richard Thurland deceased with the farm house last mentioned and the Tithes or exemption from Tithes of some parts thereof, viz. 46 acres 3 roods 2 perches formerly in the occupation of Richard Thurland the son, All better known as: -- messuage and farm with Home Close and Kemps Mead, Fox Leys with Ozier bed, Meadow Hall Field,Hall Field Ground, Hanwell Field, Causeway Field, Cow Cross Field, Basses Field, Whitestone Close, Barn Ground, Pickerings Wold, North and South and Slip by Home, containing together 320 acres now in the occupation of Edward Frost. -- messuage and farm with Broomfield Close, Tip End, Tip End Ground,Fallow Meadow, Rush Beds Close,First Nether Wold Ground, Further Nether Wold Ground, Black Bushes, Snake Hill otherwise Barn Close and Askey Hole Field, containing together 225 acres now in the occupation of James White. -- messuage and farm with Home Close, Well Wounds, Lurbins Piece.
