Probate: (Principal Registry of Her Majesty’s Court of Probate) Maria Alston, wife of Reverend Vere John Alston (in will written John Vere Alston) late of River House, Duncan Terrace, in parish of St. Mary, Islington, Middlesex died 3 April 1863 at aforesaid address; made will by powers vested in her through marriage settlement of 1 October 1845 (i) Maria Orlebar widow of River House, Duncan Terrace, in parish of St. Mary, Islington, Middlesex (the said deceased) (ii) Vere John Alston of Odell, Bedfordshire clerk (iii) William Augustus Orlebar of Hinwick Hall, Bedfordshire Reverend Cuthbert Orlebar of Edgbaston, Warwickshire, clerk effects under £600 6 May 1863. Will: Maria Alston wife of Reverend John Vere Alston made under power contained in marriage settlement residue of property (after payment of debts) to daughter Maria Caroline Layton. confirms settlement on marriage to Richard Orlebar 1804. appoints as sole executor eldest son Richard Longuet Orlebar of Hinwick House, Bedfordshire.
