    Thomas Leyght had enclosed ley ground called Marsh Leyes, about 14 acres and arable land in the field adjoining Town of Bedford, customarily used by the parishioners of St. Mary and St. John. Thomas Leyght is to remove the enclosure before 1 March next. If inhabitants abuse the common Thomas Leyght can seek redress at common law. Any further disputes between Corporation and Inhabitants of Town of Bedford and Thomas Leyght to be committed to Sir Robert Oathyn Lord Chief Justice, named by Corporation and Inhabitants of Town of Bedford and Thomas Snagge, Recorder of Town of Bedford, named by Thomas Leyght.
