- Scope and Contentto bar entails and to make jointure for Anne in lieu of her former jointure given up by her at her husband’s request Isaac Bedford will levy fine before end of Hilary Term next of:- -- messuage or farm in Clifton, formerly Thomas Buryes -- close of pasture, Clee Close, 2 acres near Clee Bridge -- 48 acres arable, ley and sward and 8 acres meadow belonging to said messuage -- 33 acres 3 roods arable and leys formerly part of Suttons Farm -- 3 acres in Brooke Meadow -- 3 roods arable belonging to Waters house the 33 acres 3 roods arable and the 3 roods arable belonging to Waters House (all formerly part of Suttons Farm); the 7 acres arable part of Buryes Farm and 3 acres meadow in Brook Meadow and half the meadow belonging to Buryes Farm and all lands mentioned in terrier annexed to pair of Indentures of 24 October 1651 between:- (i) Isaac Bedford senior of Clifton clerk, said Samuel Bedford (ii) Henry Randall of Braughing, Hertfordshire gentleman, said Isaac Bedford and wife Ann by name of Ann Yeomans one of the daughters of the said Henry Randall to use of Isaac Bedford and Anne, remainder to use of said Isaac Bedford and Samuel Luke of Clifton, clerk and to heirs of Isaac Bedford the other lands etc. aforesaid to use of Isaac Bedford and Samuel Luke etc. as above.
