    -- 2 freehold messuages on east side of Dowgate in parish of Great Allhallows, London, to wife Mary Berry for life, then to testator’s brother Nathaniel Houlton and friend John Wilson of Hitchin, Hertfordshire during life of testator’s daughter Mary Scott in trust to pay the profits as she (without her husband) shall direct. -- cottage, yard and orchard in Radwell Endship in the occupation of Edward Crouch to brother Robert Berry for life and after his death to trustees (as above) in trust for Mary Scott -- freehold or copyhold farms, lands etc. in Felmersham, Radwell of elsewhere in Bedfordshire to wife Mary for life and then to aforesaid trustees for said daughter as above, chargeable with £15 per annum to brother Robert Berry for life. -- £400 to Mary Scott; if she or her husband John Scott claim part of personal estate by the custom of London other than that already bequeathed, then the legacy to be void and the £400 to go to executrix Mary Berry -- to brother Robert Berry £20 -- forgives debt on mortgage, £30, to nephew John, son of brother Thomas Berry provided he and his wife convey to executrix two pieces of leys which lie in a close of testator’s in Felmersham, for which testator was to allow said John Berry four shillings per annum and remit to executrix arrears of said four shillings -- to children of said nephew John Berry £5 each -- to four children of testator’s brother and sister Warner £5 each viz: William Katherine Anne and Robert -- to Daniel Berry [sic] one other of the children of the said Robert Warner one shilling -- to cousin Robert Warner son of William Warner £10 to put him out apprentice “in case he shall live to be fitt” -- to Mr. Wavile, pastor £10 -- to poor of Mr. Wavill’s congregation £20 to be in hands of trustees -- £10 to poor of Felmersham and Radwell -- £50 to be distributed to needy by wife -- £30 to St. Thomas’s Hospital -- £10 to John Wilson -- £20 to brother Nathaniel Houlton and wife Elizabeth and £10 each to their children -- £50 to son-in-law John Scott -- £10 each to Thomas Scott and Stephen Scott -- £5 each to cousin Elizabeth wife of John Boddington and to her children -- 40 shillings each to servants at time of testator’s death -- residue to wife Mary, executrix.
