- Scope and ContentMr. Heard has tried to purchase a confirmation of his Patent of Vicar General from the Dean and Chapter of Cork. However they found that the Scottish degree he had purchased for this was not valid so he has gone off to London to buy a Lambeth degree off the Archbishop of Canterbury. If William is still in London can he ask the Archbishop not to give him a degree? If he has already left he has written to Sir W. Scott to inform the Archbishop. The Cork visitation is to be on the 28th and the Annual Chapter on the 29th . The fever in Cork has abated although people in the poorest districts are still being infected.
