Part of a copy of a letter to Mr. Abbot. “I have six suffragan Bishops under me. Three are men of indifferent character and are inactive and useless - two are of acknowledged bad character. Place Mr. Beresford at Kilmore, and we shall then have three very inactive Bishops, and what I trust the world has not yet seen, three Bishops reputed to be the most profligate men in Europe.”
