Letter from Mr. Elliot. Have just had letter from London saying that Lord Grenville had had an interview with the Archbishop of Cashel and Doctor Derigenen it was agreed that the Doctor should withdraw his Bill and shortly after the recess an address to the Crown would be moved recommending a Regal invitation. Later on he says “ I hope the result of it may form such a basis for a regulation of the residence of clergy”.
