Letter from Lord Ridesdale. Is glad that William’s last letter has indicated to him that his impressions from an earlier one were misconceived “as far they applied to myself”. Regret having troubled William as he found that he had caused William to form an opinion of Mr. Dowling. Also some talk about Doctor Murray having to retire because of his health.
