Undertaking by the Mayor, burgesses, commonalty and other inhabitants of Bedford to bear the cost of an Act of Parliament for the navigation of the Ouse from St Ives to Bedford, in consideration of Arnold Spencer's undertaking to erect the sluices 'and to take onely ij d Tolle for every Tunne passinge thorough every Sluice', provided he may have a lease of the same from the Mayor, burgesses and commonalty (after the Act is passed) for 100 years.
