    (i) John Edrop junior of Over Caldecot, Northill, yeoman, son and heir of John Edrop, and also son and heir of Mercy Audley, late wife of said John Edrop, now deceased and formerly Mercy Audley Britain, surviving heir at law of Baron Britain, who was brother and heir of Robert Audley Britain, father of Robert Audley Britain, a devisee of the real estate of John Mordaunt, being son of Elizabeth Mordaunt, wife of Robert Audley Britain. (ii) Thomas Baker of West Smithfield, London, horsedealer. Recites will of John Mordaunt, [see HY33]. Robert Audley Britain the son died in 1757, unmarried and intestate. Elizabeth Britain died 1758. Covenant to levy a fine, 1 June 1761: (i) Robert Audley Britain the father, John Edrop senior and wife Mercy Audley, (ii) John Sellis. John Lyle, Mary Taylor, Elizabeth Foot and William Lewin, all since deceased, in January 1765, exhibited a Bill of Complaint in Chancery versus John Styles Mordaunt, John Edrop and wife. Revocation [1768], (see HY36), and Chancery orders. Revocation, 17 November 1773: (i) John Edrop and wife, (ii) John Edrop junior, revoking 15 February 1768 (HY36) and conveying in trust to be sold, money to be applied variously. Supplemental Bill of Complaint and ensuing proceedings. Baker has bid for purchase, in pursuance of Court Order: -- manor of Hartishorne alias Blundells; manor house and 20 acres appertaining; Kent’s closes, 6 acre piece of meadow, 2 otherell yards etc. as before. Witnesses: Richard Bristowe, Chancery Office, William Walter, clerk to Messrs. Smith and Cardale, Gray's Inn. (Note: one Release is endorsed: “This Bargain and Sale does not appear to have been enrolled. The estate was also conveyed by Lease and Release”)
