(iv) Thomas Coventry of Sargeant's Inn, Fleet St., London esq., whose late wife was aunt of Sir Phillip Monoux.
(v) Reverend Phillip Monoux of Sandy clerk and William Gery of Bushmead Priory, esq.
Marriage between John Payne and Mary Monoux.
Recites Marriage Settlement 29, 30 May 1788 (i) John Payne (ii) Susannah Campbell widow and Elizabeth Maria Campbell spinster (iii) Woollaston Pym clerk and Charles Brett esq. (Elizabeth is now dead), by which an annuity of £500 granted to John by his father out of estates in St. Kits and Nevis, was settled to use of heirs of John and wife. Sir Phillip Monoux gives his daughter £3,000 portion. Thomas Coventry gives her £1,000. - rent charge of £400 out of Payne West Indies estates (see WY. etc.)
