Message reads: "Dear John, Just a line to acknowledge your PC of 23rd I only posted a letter to you about an hour ago to your old camp. I am on another draft but expect to be here for another week yet. Glad to note you have a good job stick to it & go back home in cash. I get knacked. Let me know how you are getting on by return mail. I hope I get that photo of yours alright I haven't one of you at all. Snowing like blazes here. So long until next time from Brother Jim."
