(2) Court of the bailiffs, assistants and commonalty of the Borough, held before William Maile and Henry Kendall, bailiffs; Andrew Freeman, Richard Lambe and Edward Norman, suitors. Admission of Thomas Girton, citizen and vintner of London, and Arnold Spencer of Cople, gentleman, by their attorney James Yates, to 1 acre with 'le Galt pitt' on Haltrop Hill in West field, Godmanchester, on surrender of Alexander Smyth; 25 October 1621. (3) Court of the bailiffs, assistants and commonalty of the Borough, held before Jasper Robins and John Maile junior, bailiffs; John Mayle, tanner, Henry Stevenson junior and John Laxton, suitors. Admission of Arnold Spencer by his attorney Henry Wibarne, to 1 1/2 roods in West meadow on which a pair of sluices are now built, and to said sluices, on surrender of John Jackson; 13 May 1636.
