    i) Stephen Thornton, Moggerhanger, Esq ii) Samuel Danes, late of Great Staughton, Hunts, now of Everton, farmer i) releases to ii) -farmhouse etc at Everton called Portmahon Farm -land belonging (280 acres) late in occupation John Howe, then i) and now of ii) reserving to i) -all timber with liberty for i) to enter on the land to cut down the same also right to enter the premises to view the condition and repairs and right to shoot over said premises term -7 years from October 1826 yearly rent-£200 -£20 per acre for every acre of meadow converted into tillage without consent ii) agrees to keep glass windows in good repair, will provide sufficient wheat straw for thatching the barns and various other conditions as to husbandry signatures both endorsed witness: George King, solicitor, Potton. Notice that ii) is not confined to the four field system of farming. However he shall leave as much land as he found at his entry, when he leaves the farm.
