    Court of Chancery. Plaintiff: George Francklin, esquire. Defendants: Sir Alexander St John, Sir Humphrey Style, Sir Robert Charnocke, Francis Taverner, esquire, Elizabeth Francklin, an infant ( by Richard Dyer and wife Elizabeth, her guardians). Also: Plaintiffs: Richard Dyer and wife Elizabeth, administratix of Edmund Francklin, esquire, deceased, Elizabeth Francklin, infant (as above). Defendants: Sir Alexander St John, Sir Beauchamp St John, Sir Humphrey Style, Sir Robert Charnock, Francis Taverner, George Francklyn. Edmund Francklin was seised of freehold lands in Milton Ernest, Goldington, Felmersham, Clapham, Cardington, Campton, Bedford, Cople, Clophill, Shefford, Keysoe, Silsoe and Wrest; copyhold lands in Clophill, Silsoe, Keysoe and Wrest, worth 28s per annum; the descent of these was settled by his marriage settlement, 30 November 1634 by lease for 99 years to trustees. Edmund Francklin died 10 April 1639, leaving one daughter, Elizabeth, for whom a portion of £1500 should have been provided. It is ordered that the defendants, the trustees, assign the remainder of the term of the lease for years to the plaitiff George Francklin, but the infant Elizabeth is to have her portion of £1500 and to hold and enjoy the copyhold lands according to custom.
