Scope and Content
... To wife Ann
- so much of household furniture as will enable her completely to furnish a lower room and a bedchamber
- £50 to be taken out of personal estate immediately after my decease
- profits of all my real estates (except such parts as mother Ann Emery is entitled to for life under will of grandfather, Thomas Woodcock, deceased) and rents of such parts after her death, for life or widowhood
then to brother Samuel Woodcock and sister Frances Emery on trust to use proceeds to bring up and educating 2 daughters, Frances and Ann Emery.
When Frances (Elder) is 21, then gives to daughter
- house in which I dwell situated in Potton and house adjoining and now in occupance said mother
- 3 lots of enclosed arable land in Potton Windmill Field, each cont 3 acres and purchased from John Norman, Luke Astwood and
John Keeking (nos 22, 72 and 73 on enclosure map)

- freehold cottage divided into 2 in Potton purchased of John Payne
- closes pasture ground nearby (4 acres) which were purchased of Thomas Mills and Samuel Kent with new erected buildings on it and pump in the yard
- enclosed arable land in Potton Windmill Field (3 acres) (43 on enclosure map).
Business to be carried on jointly by wife and brother Samuel Woodcraft Emery during wife's widowhood until said Ann reaches 21 and one half of net profit to be used by wife to educate 2 daughters. Other half to be used by brother for his own use. After wife's death, brother shall have the living in that part of the house I now dwell in and use of outbuildings, shop and garden rent-free and whole of butchering business subject to his paying £15 p.a. each to said Frances and Ann Emery until they are 21
If wife is pregant at time of his death, then £500 to be paid to brother Samuel and sister Frances in trust to use interest for maintenance of the child while a minor and to pay over full sum at 21.If such child die under 21 then said sum to be divided between children Frances and Ann

- £250 in trust to invest and pay interest to wife during her widowhood.
If wife marries again then said sum and interest to be paid to her within 6 months next after such second marriage but all interest due on other respective principal only to be paid to day of marriage.
If wife dies without having remarried, then interest to be divided between 2 daughters when 21 and principal between them at 21
- all ready money and personal estate
upon special trust to be invested and proceeds paid as follows:
