Letter: John Caldecott, Rugby, to John Crawley; relates to proposed turnpike road from Bedford to Kimbolton and Bletsoe to St. Neots. This area has long been in disrepute because of wretched roads; no gentleman could think of living in it, and estates have not sold properly, nor would skilful farmers take the land; roads would make a great difference; flyleaf gives distances.
