Scope and Content
Keysoe farms will bear the present rents well; most of the enclosed land is cold woodland, worth about 10s. per acre; ploughed land rather better, 5s. In the wood the timber is thin; most of what was of value was cut by Lord Bolingbroke. With regard to Thurleigh tithe: present tenant will continue at same rent; can't explain the £14 paid out; 'my Lord paid it in town'; perhaps a fee-farm rent; house stud-built as at Yelden.
