  • Scope and Content
Mr dear Mr Janes: So very glad you were able to come, even for so short a time! It was extremely good of you all to take so long and tiring a trip to see us. and we were sorry not to have the pleasure of Mrs Janes with us, but fully understand. We trust all went well on the homeward journey. I am taking the liberty of enclosing our latest circular. The very generous responses of "Christian Herald" readers, and many others, to our Hurricane Relief appeals necessitate such "circulars", which go out quarterly now to 200 of our prayer-supporters. In common with the Homeland now - one of our great needs is for Revival. When that comes in some such measure as it did in 1860, and in 1906-7 many of our other problems moral and financial begin to solve themselves. The Mission has a thrilling record as you doubtless know and, considering the 300 odd years of background of slavery, the achievements and advances are indeed wonderful. God bless you all and give you many pleasant memories of our Island. Our love of course to Leslie and Alice and all at "Okauajan". Yours most cordially, Harry M Brown
