Letter to H C Janes from H M Brown, The Misson House, Thompson Town PO. Further to letter of 6 February 1952. Advising how to get to Mr Brown's.

Dear Mr James, We are glad to hear you can visit us in this outpost and are much looking forward to giving you both and your friends a welcome. We can accommodate up to a dozen for meals, but only two for sleeping (due to storm damage). I would advise you to make careful enquiry about the road before starting out. You have to cross the back-bone Mountain ridges of the island, and some of our roads are rough going. The only way I know from Shaw Park, Ocho Rios to Chapelton would be via Claremont and Bensonton and over the Bull Head range. Most of this is fairly rough road. There may be a road ("of sorts") from Ewarton through Luidas Vale to Chapelton, but I have now knowledge of it. If so, and if it is fairly good - your best way would be via Montague to Ewarton etc. But it would be well to enquire. With kindest wishes, Yours sincerely, H M Brown.
