    (i) Samuel Wells, Biggleswade, brewer (surviving trustee of the Stevenage to Biggleswade turnpike road trustees, as mentioned in previous deeds) (ii) Francis Pym } Stephen Thornton } esquires Wollaston Pym } Robert Porten Beachcroft } clerks Nathaniel Vincent Herbert, merchant (another five of the trustees of the Stevenage to Biggleswade turnpike road) (iii)Isaac Hindley, Baldock,Herts, gentleman and treasurer to the trustees of the turnpike road (iv) William Brunt, Biggleswade, draper [ also called Samuel Brunt, in body of deed] reciting lease and release of 6 and 7 December 1791 a) William Dawson, Esq b) John Harvey , George Edwards, Edward Rudd, Denis Herbert, Samuel wells( five of the trustees of turnpike road) and also a surrender of 7 December 1791. ---- North part of Spectacles Close was conveyed to use of b) and their heirs, for purpose for digging gravel for the road. When gravel was exhausted, then land to be sold and proceeds used for the benefit of the road. Gravel on said land is now exhausted, so at meeting of ii) and Rev John Markham,clerk,at Sun Inn,Biggleswade,19 December 1810,land was ordered to be sold at auction. Said piece of land was put up for auction,in 2 lots,at White Swan in Biggleswade,on 19 March 1811 at which ii) was highest bidder for lot 2 for £235 and £6 15s for the trees, now in consid of £241 15s paid to iii) by iv) i) at request of ii) releases to iv) - Piece arable,meadow or pasture (2 acres 10p) or so much as is freehold being part of Spectacles Close East road from Biggleswade to Langford West river North other part of said close,purchased from William Dawson South another part of Spectacles Close With all rights,except rights,of common,if applicable copyhold part of said land will be surrendered into hands of Lord of the Manor for use of iv) .
