    recites:- 1808 Act; 10 Dec 1831: award by M. Rowed & F. Gough of Herts.: which recites 1818 marriage settlement of Marquis of Bute & Lady Maria North: trustees had power of exchange; the exchanged lands were to be settled; recites also 1810 enclosure award; small proprietors were allotted 8 1/2a. on Gt. Moor; commoners were to meet annually at the George on 1st May and elect Committee of 7; weekly payment of 6d. per head of cattle to continue; exchange now agreed between William Stuart, Bishop of Lincoln, and inhabitants of Luton, & submitted to arbitration of M. Rowed & F. Gough; inhabitants' lands to be conveyed to:- John Pates, cornfactor William Clarke, innholder George Ellard, plumber & glazier William Townrow, innholder Robert Dimock, shopkeeper Charles Hester, innholder William Dancer, higgler commoners to surrender three pieces (4 1/2 acres, 13 3/4 acres, 33p.) & intended site of new turnpike road between; commoners to receive six pieces (1/4 acre, 5 acres, 2 1/2 acres, 1acre, 1/2 acre, 39p.); & also waste ground called Broadwater adjoining Dunstable road; but this conveyance was never made; 2 Jul 1866: conveyance to:- Thomas Smart, builder; John Webdale, warehouseman C.W. Seabrook, corn dealer; John Cumberland, auctioneer.; Edward Taylor, jr., farmer; John Cotchin, straw-hat manufacturer;
