    recites:- 24 March 1735/6 : will of William Alston of Pavenham, gent.; manors & lands to be sold; proceeds for wife Ann for life; then to sister Mary Lord, & Frances, wife of Nehemiah Brandreth; 3/4 Oct 1737: marriage settlement of John & Mary Lord; Jamas Bradshaw of Houghton Regis, clerk; moiety of rights under above will; but no fine was levied; 23/24 Jun 1742: same parties as current deed; moiety of rights as above; £1,200 to be invested in land; 17 Jul 1750: deed poll; reciting that preceding was mislaid; property has now been sold, & £1,200 invested; £500 on mortgage (Hillersdon Franks, Totternhoe, 1745); death of John Lord of Toddington, father of John Lord of Drayton Parslow; property at Kensworth (subject to mortgage for £300 in 1747) has come to John Lord junior, but dower is due to his mother Martha; therefore trustees will purchase this for £700; -- farmhouse in Kensworth called Jeff.
